ANNOTATION:
Why must evolution produce stability?

I don't see why evolution should produce stability in the end, as evolutionary processes include slow positive feedback processes (such as co-adaptation: the predator gets faster, then the prey gets faster, then the predator again...) that could stay on the move forever, especially when you also remeber that completely new adaptations can also occur.

There is no reason at all a stable situation has to be reached in the end.
