The phrase “State of the world” is misleading

The phrase “State of the world” is unfortunate. “World” will very likely be interpreted as the Earth at large, especially to a newcomer. It would be better to say “State of the system”, since it is the overall state of a particular system that is being referred to. But I suppose it is too entrenched to change now.
