The meaning of life is not just something
that can be conviently stated in the mythical "400
words or less..."-type notations on an application
or any other type of manuscript that could be
published in any means, much less a highly
intellectual forum such as this. The pursuit of "The
Meaning of Life" has been around since Ugg and
Ogg stopped beating each other over the head with
various blunt objects and started to realize "Hey!
That hurt!!!" To simplify this, the greatest
challenge of humanity/Homo Sapiens, with such
a simplified, basic response as "...to increase
fitness." is almost insulting.
The search for the meaning of life is not a
simple process. Nor is it the same for everyone. To
suggest that life has the same meaning for any two
people, say Stephen Hawkings and Dave, the fry-
cook at the local McDonalds, for example, would
be insulting to Sir Stephen and, probably, over
Dave's head. Why? Quite simply, their two lives
are so vastly different, there would only be ONE
commonality between the two: they are alive.
Ask any teen-aged person from any capitalist
nation in the world(Note:No, I'm not a Communist)
if there is a difference between being alive and having
a life, you will get a resounding "YES!!!" Go ahead,
do it, I dare you. But when you do, be prepared for
the suspicious looks that come after the answer. For
there truly IS a difference between simple life and
actually living. If you merely study the former and
ignore the latter, you are in the wrong field. Go to
Yahoo and search "Biochemistry"!
As with any person, my search for the meaning
of life took many, many, TOO MANY sleepless
nights, empty bottles, full ashtrays, and not a few
long walks at 3 AM on moonless nights with no
real destination. But all that work(?) was not for
naught(you may groan if your reading aloud), for I
have MY meaning of life. And a couple months
later, a few folks at Disney set it to music and a
catch-phrase that are cast in stone for all time. What
is it? Quite simple, really.
NO WORRIES!
If you stop going along with the hurried, fast-paced
world most of us live in, your life will be better.
This may help others, it may not. Oh, well.
C'est la vie!

Well then , how is the following not insulting:
"Quite simple, really. NO WORRIES!"
Giving a 5 word answer is no less insulting than the 3 word answer stated.
