ANNOTATION:
a fascist ideology is implicit in the "brain" metaphor

A fascist ideology is implicit in the "brain" metaphor.
It is further bolstered by the use of the prefix "super",
as in "superior". A simplistic populist refutation of the
concern about a "global brain" developing into a sure-of-
itself totalitarian "fuhrer", feeling violence is justified
when support is overwhelming but some resistance is felt,
does not serve the overall purpose of reforming societies.

I propose four measures to deal with this particular issue, not to enable further denial, but to acknowledge the political and ideological nature of the "world brain" or "global brain":

1. Clearly differentiate the "global brain" ideology and the "Gaia brain" hypothesis (Champagne after Lovelock) from a "sub-organism" view (such as the "green brain" approach of Herbert and Hubley, http://hubley.com/green/brain.htm) to make clear the idea that varying levels of measurement and control are possible, and that a connection to the body of the Earth itself (not just to "a body of human opinion") is required before any brain could be considered "green", and this must be globally subordinated to human free will. Differentiate further between Plant (energy-binding), Animal (space-binding), Human (time-binding) and Truth- binding mechanisms (not superior to humans but part of their subconcious or substrate, thus "sub-organisms") like God or Gaia which are used to co-ordinate remote behavior.

2. Clearly label every use of phrases like "super-organism", "global", "brain" as ideological and assuming a superior measure of awareness and authority. Admit the ideology - state outright that the promoters of a "global brain" are willing (although not able) to subordinate human desires to it "for the sake of survival" or harmony or whatever.

2a. encourage an active opposition to the "global hegemony": Encourage counter-labels like "sub-organism", "green" or "botanical" or "limbic system" or "immune system" by those who support growth of a global organism from the bottom up.

2b. differentiate Gandhian and other anarchists/libertarians: Force theorists to declare themselves politically in favor of violence directed by this "brain" or not, and force them to specify conditions under which they would support actions or inactions to enable, protect or obey this "global brain".

2c. differentiate political positions as required to clarify the various action thresholds as defined: Black (anarchist, not in favor of force monopoly), Pink (existing welfare state or feminist, in favor of caring, nursing, or "mommy state"), or Green (life-primary, favors force monopoly to protect life as such e.g. in lands management, promote it e.g. by gardening), with White (existing Western European "whitewash" or racism), Red (conventional force-monopolist socialism of the state), Blue (globalist centralist legalist capitalist) or Purple (industrialism, Red/Blue mix) or Mauve ("Third Way" pluralism). - where possible apply these labels post-facto to the theories and theorists to encourage development of rational discourse.

3. Answer seriously to concerns that centralist, globalized, legalist structures will and have emerged that are incapable of experiencing or empathizing with anything on a human level (e.g. anti-knowledge and anti-symbol approaches to reality). Also to concerns that they involve a cessation of rights (e.g. in the US Constitution http://www.usasurvival.org/report.html) or enable only public-relations-oriented governance, with the "global brain" providing a universal excuse for human leaders (e.g. to invade misbehaving regimes, imprison "eco-criminals") to employ violence as a means for resolving human problems. 4. Adopt an explicit thesis-antithesis-synthesis methodology for resolving issues so that fierce opposition to each point can be marshalled. E.g. "Miller left out immune system because he didn't understand psychoneuroimmunology which obsoletes his entire thesis", "Heylighen took out 'timer' because he doesn't understand the importance of timers in organic equilibrium." Confrontational, controversial, like Galileo, or like Foucault. Capable of capturing and channeling much more personal energy.
