What's above cybernetics?
So we have cybernetics and its quantum of evolution, the megasystem transition (MST). How will cybernetics itself evolve? Second order cybernetics is still cybernetics, not something fundamentally new. What will emerge from the cybernetic substrate as a MST? One cannot assume cybernetics is the end-all. What I keep coming back to is there is no top. We humans push onward until our cybernetic non-actualized infinite achievements are bumping up against actualized ones. What happens after we populate the Universe with ourselves, at a dizzying level of complexity? There’s nowhere to hide. This is the road that intelligence leads us down, with no comfortable end in sight. The genie’s out of the bottle, and now all we can do is ride the runaway train.
