ANNOTATION: Mortality Contradicted
Imagine being "uploaded" twice before your biological death. Many years later, the two "you"s meet, and recognize each other as not two persons or "souls", but just one, despite the distinct histories they've experienced.
If one person can be two in this manner, then why am I not you, and why are you not me?
It's evident to me that personal identity is discontinuous, and that mortality is therefore an illusion. In that sense at least, we've already got immortality.
