Please feel free to visit the websites of 'the Needle,' particularly www.cosmotheism.net, and form your own opinions about the ideas expressed there. I trust that after such an examination, the reason for my comments about the racist, bigoted, and hateful nature of 'the Needle' will become clear.
'The Needle' has been banned from EZboard's entire global network for violating my privacy by posting my real name without my permission, as he has also done here. I urge all readers to review the facts and evidence for themselves and draw their own conclusions regarding the behavior and views of this individual. The personal insults directed at me here are but the tip of the iceberg. 'The Needle' has made a two-year hobby of viciously slandering myself, Paul Harrison (author of the article to which these annotations refer), Victor Danilchenko (advocate of atheistic pantheism), and several others.
It is my opinion that this entire senseless exchange has been extremely disruptive and conterproductive to the public awareness of pantheism, and I will not further aggravate this situation by responding to any future inaccurate and unwarranted attacks on my character. As long as I continue to defend myself, 'the Needle' will feel a need to continue attacking. To give him the last word is to avoid many future headaches.
I have e-mailed the editors of Principia Cybernetica indicating that I felt these annotations to be unnecessary and inconducive to greater understanding of the subject matter, but it is apparent that they do not intend to take action to rectify the situation. In addition, my name has been used here without my permission, and it is my opinion that violating someone's privacy is a very disreputable and ethically reprehensible tactic.
It is unfortunate that pantheism on the internet has come to be associated with individuals such as 'the Needle.' In my opinion, there is no room in modern pantheism for racism, intolerance, bigotry, anti-semitism, personal vendettas, and other such forms of ignorance. 'The Needle' is crafty enough to falsely accuse others of these same errors as frequently as possible in order to disguise his own endorsement of such positions, but the truth is not difficult to discover. His own websites and message board posts can verify my claims, and I encourage anyone interested in this matter to research 'the Needle' for themselves. A simple keyword search for 'Needle cosmotheism' or equivalent terms will reveal a good deal of relevant material.
In my opinion, this entire situation is a needless and senseless scar on the face of the modern pantheist community. I am certain that these remarks will provoke yet another diatribe from 'the Needle,' but I am confident that the readers can decide for themselves what to believe. As for myself, I will do what I belive to be a favor to pantheism and allow my self-appointed opponent the last word (which I know that he will be unable to resist taking) and prevent this irrelevant, counterproductive, and futile exchange from continuing.
