Hello,
I am doing research on the relationship between ceybernetics and culture, in particular, architecture. I would like to know:
1. How/ why did cybernetics start seeping into popular culture in the 1960's? What were the vehicles/ reasons for this?
What was particular about the cultural context of the time, and about the Cyberneticians of that time, that
supported a flourishing of the field? Who were the writers/thinkers that bridged the gap between cybernetics and
other fields (for example, how did Buckminster Fuller influence Cybernetics and v/v?
I am extremely interested to hear what historians of cybernetics/ systems science would have to say about this issue.
Thank you
